The FN FNX .45ACP with FDE frame is a lightweight polymer frame full size semi auto with an ergonomic textured grip for positive control in any condition. The low bore axis of the FNX .45 results in an extremely shootable large caliber handgun. Low mount combat 3-dot sights are snag resistant and very visible in any shooting condition. The FN FNX .45ACP is a traditional Double/Single action pistol, so the first shot is a heavier pull that must cock the hammer before firing while the second and every subsequent shot the hammer is pre-cocked by the slide under recoil. To allow shooters to safely lower the hammer, the FN FNX .45ACP with FDE frame comes standard with a decocker/safety lever that is similar to the HK USP style levers "up for safe, down for decock" which is very user friendly and ergonomic. The FNX FDE .45ACP holds an impressive 15+1rds of the large caliber and yet still maintains a grip not much larger in diameter than most 9mm semiautos on the market, which is great for a duty weapon.
