The smaller frame of the Ruger MKIV target is great for newer and smaller statured shooters, and the lower cost and super low recoil of the .22lr round is great for just starting out or having a range day without breaking the bank. This Ruger MKIV features a 5.5" blued bull barrel which is topped with adjustable rear and fixed front sight and is capable of mounting a rail for mounting a red dot style sight for faster target aquisition or aging eyes. The biggest improvement on the Ruger MKIV target .22lr is the simple one button takedown and easy dissasembly which is one of the biggest complaint about older generations of this handgun. The ejection port is flared for reliable operation and the easy to grab bolt ears make for simple operating. For left handed shooters, the Ruger MKIV blued target .22lr comes with ambi safeties installed and can be made left side only with supplied washer. The Ruger MKIV blued target 5.5" comes with magazine disconnect safety to prevent firing once the mag is removed, and comes standard with 2-10rd drop free magazines.
