The Hudson H9 1911 9mm can best be described as a blend of the best handguns in the world. The all steel frame is reminiscent of the legendary 1911 with its thin frame and sleek lines even holding 15rds of 9mm ammunition. Deviating from the 1911 and its single action trigger, the Hudson H9 9mm is a striker fired action like the well known Glock handguns. Like most striker fired handguns, the Hudson H9 1911 has a safety built into the trigger itself and the straight pull trigger is easy for fast shots on target. One of the most unique features on the Hudson H9 1911 9mm is on the front end of the pistol, the nose has an unconventional shape which allows the recoil spring and guide rod to sit lower and thus the pistol to sit lower in the hand for greater recoil control. The beavertail on the Hudson H9 is extended over more traditional pistols to allow shooters to get an excellent "purchase" when gripping so that follow up shots are not only fast, but helps decrease muzzle flip for a more comfortable shooting experience.
