The Smith and Wesson M&P15 Sport rifle makes for a perfect entry-level AR. It uses a full-profile barrel made of American 4140 Steel. The M&P Sport features a forged lower receiver with an integral triggerguard built in seamlessly. It also has been oversized to accommodate winter gloves.The Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport uses a direct gas impingement system. Gas Impingment systems are the standard of the U.S. military M16 and M4, as well as law enforcement AR-15 rifles. The bolt carrier and gas key have been chrome lined, while the 1/9 twist rate barrel will handle popular loads. The rifle weighs in at just 6.45 pounds, has a Picatinny flat top rail, a folding Magpul MBUS rear sight, and an adjustable A2 front sight. The rifle comes standard with a 30rd Magpul PMAG.
