The Sig Sauer MPX 9mm is the next generation of pistol caliber carbine/sub machine gun. Although it will be tough to dethrone the iconic Heckler & Koch MP5 9mm of hollywood legend and the favorite of military units for close quarter combat. The Sig Sauer MPX 9mm is a brand new design with influence from the AR15 series of rifles in their overall controls, which makes sense given the popularity of that rifle and is not available in a shortened pistol version. The operating system of the Sig Sauer MPX 9mm pistol is a short stroke gas piston, perfect for any environment and providing a high level of reliability. Full ambidextrous controls from the selector switch, bolt catch, magazine release, and charging handle cater to both left and right handed shooters with ease. In place of a stock, the Sig Sauer MPX 9mm pistol and its 8" barrel has a side folding pistol brace which gives you a solid shooting platform without the headache of dealing with the need for a tax stamp for a SBR or Short Barreled Rifle. Magazines are a hybrid style polymer/steel with the body being lightweight high strength smoke colored polymer with steel reinforced feed lips for the best combination of strength and lightweight and are available in either 10,20, or 30rd capacity where allowed by law. The Sig Sauer MPX 9mm pistol comes standard with a shortened aluminum Keymod handguard with handstop installed to help prevent from getting your hand too far out and accidently in front of the short 8" barrel. The Keymod handguard also allows shooters to mount lights, lasers or other rail mounted accessories where they serve them best, you cannot however mount a vertical foregrip as this is classified as a pistol. Doing so would make it an illegal AOW(Any Other Weapon) without first filing the proper paperwork with the ATF.
